Polish experimental black metallers THAW are back with their fifth album. Fans of the band had to wait seven years for "Fading Backwards". The album contains six tracks that are the quintessence of THAW's musical identity, showing their unique sound in a new light.
The musical layer of THAW's new album truly captures the essence of this original band, combining live sound with heavy, low-tuned guitars. These powerful sounds are additionally enriched with noise electronics, which add depth and character to each of the new songs.
Most of the material for the new album was recorded live, which gave the songs a raw and authentic feel. The rest was carefully overdubbed in order to achieve an optimal sound. However, it is not only the instruments that define this album; it is known by a completely new approach to the vocal parts.
