Prominent Italian black metal band active since 1992, Necromass has always represented the occult and uncompromising wing of european black metal. Their early contributions to the genre are significant still today for their technical skills and intensity and their debut album, the legendary "Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana" is regarded as one of the classic 90s black metal records.
“Abyss Calls Life” is the second album, considered a fine example of evolution towards a wider idea of extreme music. The record was instrumental in securing a celebrated european tour alongside Dark Funeral and was also the last release with founding member Carlo Bellotti.
